Henderson Castle Wedding | fairy tale wedding venue in Michigan

When Maraina told me she loved macarons and will be having a French style desert table at her wedding, I knew we were perfect for each other! l love macarons and will make the additional effort to go to best macaron shops when I travel (true story: I once walked through a snow storm in New York City to get Laduree macarons). Maraina also mentioned that her wedding will have touches of fairy tale elements to it and I cannot wait to see how it all comes together!

Sedrick proposed to Maraina in Disney World and so she wanted to have her engagement photos taken in a magical place. The first thing I could think of was to find a castle in Michigan that would serve as the perfect backdrop. The Henderson Castle in Kalamazoo, Michigan was the perfect venue for this fairy tale engagement session.

Henderson-Castle-Wedding-Venue-Kalamazoo-Michigan — It had been raining on and off all day and so we weren’t sure how the weather was going to turn out. The clouds got quite dark but fortunately, it only sprinkled a bit and we were able to do the entire session without getting too wet.

I loved the color combination that Maraina chose for her engagement session: blush + light blue. This color combination always turns out beautifully especially if you want light and airy photos.
