When clients book me because my style aligns with their vision, everything just works out perfectly. Allison & Dylan got married at the Greystone Golf Club in Washington, Michigan and we couldn’t asked for a better day! The ceremony took place in front of the large pond and it was a spectacular view.
I love how the florals were strategically placed throughout the ceremony site; it was simple yet very elegant. Given the beautiful view of the pond, not much decor was needed.
Dylan’s first expression of Allison… yes she was breathtakingly beautiful in her wedding dress.
The cutest member of the bridal party was their french bulldog puppie.
Allison and her dad walking down the aisle.
I absosulely love the mismatch bridesmaids dresses. It was this muted taupe color and each dress had it’s own design; it came together beautifully. The simple white and green bouquets also went perfectly with the dress.
Allison and Dylan could pass as models and they did so well in front of the camera… it was as if I wasn’t even there.
After all the guests left the ceremony to go to the reception, we took advantage of the ceremony site to do some formal portraits.
Dylan’s groomsmen was such a fun group to hang out with. I had taken photos of them earlier when they were getting ready at the hotel and they were hilarious.
Allison and her beautiful sisters:
Allison wanted some natural background with trees for the family photos. If it’s one thing you’ll always find in Michigan, it’s vast areas of green trees. We have it EVERYWHERE – almost to the point where it’s harder to find an open area with no green trees.
After the formal portraits, we all headed to the reception at Shelby Gardens. It was an elegant banquet hall (imagine white panel walls and hanging chandeliers everywhere).
The first dance… any chance that I can, I always try to capture the bride and groom dancing with the guests in the background.
