Follow along as I document real love stories and share a glimpse of how I see the world through the lens of my camera.
No – this is not just another barn wedding. This wedding took place at the Pine Tree Barn in Flushing, Michigan and it is truely a hidden gem! The ceremony takes place behind the barn amongst the tall pine trees with hanging lights and the reception is held inside of the barns with gorgeous hanging chandeliers.
Kaitlin & Roger did such a great job with the decor. The mantel, candles and tablescape definitely made it feel very welcoming and intimate.
Each place setting had a cookie placed inside of a paper bag and placed on top of the plates:
The cake was made by Kaitlin’s aunt and it turned out beautiful:
And now to my favorite part: the bridal portraits. If I could, I would spend hours and hours photographing the bride and all of the bridal details. The barn had an upper level where Kailtin and her bridesmaid were able to get ready and we had this beautiful french door that allowed some natural light to flow in. I took advantage of any light I could get and was able to capture this dreamy shot of Kaitlin:
Kaitlin’s wedding dress was just exquisite with the all lace details.
The ceremony arch was simple yet nicely decorated with the wite drapes and the hangling glass:
Kaitlin and Roger did a first look before the ceremony so we were able to get some shots inside the wooded area before they placed the chairs out.
It started raining a bit so we took out the clear umbrellas:
The color theme for this wedding was blush and grey (two of my favorite colors):
