I’m a bit behind blogging my weddings (given that it’s busy season) but I promise to catch up soon!  This was the 10th wedding that I photographed this year and I couldn’t have been more excited.

I met Jenny and Aaron last year when they booked me through The Knot.  We had done their engagement session during the wintertime and they had mentioned the wedding would take place at Aaron’s parents’ property in Hudsonville, Michigan.  When I arrived at the property, I didn’t expect such a breathaking view.  Aaron’s father had built a pond and mini-bridge in the backyard and it was the perfect backdrop for the wedding!

The ceremoney took place in front of the pond:

A simple arch with some flowers was all that they needed to turn this into a wedding event:

The bar and buffet table was inside of the barn and was decorated with some very charming props:

The reception was also in the backyard under this elegant white tent.  Check out the seating chart which I thought was quite creative:

It was quite hot and humid that day so it was nice that both Jenny and Aaron along with the entire bridal party was able to get ready indoors where there were air condition.

I always love seeing the color combinations when I arrive at a wedding; Jenny chose to go with blue and light pink which  stood out nicely against the green backdrop:

Of course I cried behind the lens when the music came on and saw Aaron’s first expression of Jenny:
