Follow along as I document real love stories and share a glimpse of how I see the world through the lens of my camera.
Have you ever met two people who were crazy in love with eachother and had absolutely no problem expressing it around others? Well Lauren and Evan are two of those people and you could just tell how much they adored one another. When Evan looked at Lauren, you could see the admiration he has for Lauren all over his face. This, of course made my job easier as they were naturally drawn to eachother and felt comfortable in front of the camera.
I had the honor of photographing Lauren and Evan’s wedding last weekend in Saint Johns, Michigan. They had an intimate ceremony held at the at the beautiful St. Peter’s Lutheran Church which was secluded from the rest of the town. We were able to do the formal family portraits in front of the church by the dirt road without having to worry about traffic, cars or people in our shots.
If it’s not obvious by now, I LOVE photographing grand exits at weddings. Whether it’s throwing bird seeds, blowing bubbles or lighting up sparklers, I love it all. Just capturing the excitement and joy of grand exits is always something that I look forward to after the ceremony.
Also, it was quite refreshing to see the the jade green bridesmaids dress and the whimsical bouquet. I fell in love with Lauren’t bouquet; the shape of bouquet draped her dress beautifully.
After the ceremony, we headed over to one of the groomsmen’s private property and did the bridal party portraits there. They wanted to have rustic barns in the background so this was the perfect setting.
The reception was held at the Dewitt Banquet & Conference Center. I loved how they customized the wine bottles with pictures of them on there.
First dance:
This was such a fun reception as most of the guests were on the dance floor.
