Follow along as I document real love stories and share a glimpse of how I see the world through the lens of my camera.
If you didn’t already know, pink is one of my favorite colors so when I found out that Sarah & Clayton’s wedding colors were pink and navy, I was excited to see all the flowers and details! The wedding ceremony took place at the Pilgrim United Methodist Church in St. Johns, Michigan. It was a very hot and humid day (mid 80’s) so it was really nice that the cermony took place indoors in an air-conditioned room!
A few days before the wedding, I had spoken to Sarah on the phone and asked her what she wanted me to capture the most from her wedding. Her response was to capture her fiance’s emotions as she walked down the aisle. As Sarah and her father came down the aisle, not only did Clayton get emotional but he also got the entire room in tears as well!
After the ceremony, we headed to downtown St. Johns to get the formal portaits taken by the white gazebo. I couldn’t have asked for a better location because we had a beautiful backdrop plus some shade!
The reception took place at Smith Hall in St. Johns (with air condition!):
Clayton, the bridesmaids and the groomsmen did a surpirse dance for Sarah and they put on such a great performance! Clayton is generally quiet and calm so when he busted out dancing in front of everyone, I was quite in shock! He was a great dancer and had some awesome moves!
This was such a fun wedding and I enjoyed photographing every moment of their day!
