Follow along as I document real love stories and share a glimpse of how I see the world through the lens of my camera.
Darrah and Chris’s wedding was held at the Elberta Life Saving Station in Frankfort, Michigan. The venue was located by the Betsie Lake w(hich flows into Lake Michigan) with a beautiful backdrop of pure Michigan trees at its best. Their wedding was held in October and it was a beautiful sunny day (although quite cold and windy). I met up with the bridal party at The Hotel Frankfort and got some getting ready shots.
I loved Darrah how Darrah wore a simple wedding dress with a long veil – she was breathtakingly beautiful:

I love how unique this venue was. It allowed guests to walk along the lake and enjoy a beautiful view:
The main color theme for their wedding was olive green. Each guests got to take home some home-made pickles!

The most adorable member of the bridal party: Ruthie the dog:
For bridal portraits, we headed to the Point Betsie Lighthouse. We didn’t expect it to be so cold and windy but we managed to get a few pictures in:
I love it when the guys wear funky socks. If you know me, I have a thing for patterned socks!

I’m so glad I had the opportunity to photograph Darrah and Chris’s wedding. Believe it or not, I have never been to northern Michigan during fall time so I didn’t realize how beautiful the view was. I am definitely going to try to visit northern Michigan more going forward!
