This post is long overdue but I cannot end the year without one of my favorite weddings of the year: Jamie and Tanner’s wedding (which took place back in July of this year). Their wedding ceremony took place in Jamie’s uncle’s backyard in Kalamazoo, Michigan where her uncle custom built this beautiful stone chapel in the middle of the yard. When I met Jamie’s uncle at the wedding, he told me he also made the cement walkway just for Jamie’s wedding because he didn’t want her walking on the grass (such a sweet uncle!).
I met Jamie over a year ago when she and Tanner flew to Michigan to do her engagement photos and she’s one of the SWEETEST person I’ve met. She’s as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and everyone that I met at her wedding agreed.
Jame chose light blue for her bridesmaids dress which was perfect for the summertime. Here’s a picture of her bridemaids’ reaction when they saw Jamie in her wedding dress for the first time:
I can’t forget Tanner who is as equally sweet and charming as Jamie. The two of them combined made the perfect couple and you could tell how special the two of them were during the first speeches.
By the way – Tanner was model when he was a child so he’s not as camera shy as most of the grooms that I photograph.
The weather threatened us a couple times with thunderstorms and rain but we managed to sneak in a few good photos outdoors!
The cutest flower girls I’ve ever seen (and they’re wearing wings!):
Also the cutest ring bearers I’ve ever seen (little men in black):
The beautiful bride and her father walking down the aisle:
I loved the color combination that Jame and Tanner chose: light blue + grey:
Also – how cute are the bridesmaids’ flower rings?! I thought this was such a great idea and it makes it easier to carry around.
The wedding reception took place at Cityscape in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I loved that the venue is right downtown and close to everything (hotel, shopping and airport). A picture of their first dance:
