Follow along as I document real love stories and share a glimpse of how I see the world through the lens of my camera.
One of my dreams has always been to visit Greece and this year I am finally going to make it happen (airplane tickets and hotel has already been booked – eeek!). I like to visit the big cities whenever I travel but I am most excited about seeing the small villages and towns – especially when there’s some history behind it. Some of my favorite travelling memories are definitely from my visit to the small villages rather than the touristy areas.
With this trip in mind, I was inspired to create a Grecian Goddess styled shoot which took place at the Michigan Capitol Building in Lansing, Michigan. The building serves the main office for government officials but I was surprised to find that it can also be used as wedding venue. I just think this is such a unique wedding venue in Michigan because of the beautiful architecture both inside and outside of the building.
Sweet treats are definitely one of my weaknesses so of course I had to incorporate it into the photo shoot. The desert shownon the right is called a Greek desert called baklava which is a rich, sweet dessert pastry made of layers of filo filled with chopped nuts and sweetened and held together with syrup or honey
Hair and makeup was done by the talented Erin Wichman and Samantha Andring from The Artisan Company in Lansing. They’re so creative and did their magic.
