A day in the life of my children
Today’s blog post is a bit different; I wanted to share some holiday photos of my children before Christmas. Behind all the glamourous wedding pictures that you see on my website, my life behind the lens is anything but glamourous! You see, I have three energetic children (all under the age of 10) and most days, I’m in yoga pants with an oversized sweatshirt on, with my hair up in a REALLY messy bun (note: I wear yoga pants not because I actually practice yoga, but because its the most comfortable and versatile piece in my closet!). Our lives are quite hectic: between working full time and running between the kids’ school and daycare, doing homework and taking baths there is never a dull moment in our home.
When I first started photography, I would set up a nice backdrop with props and have my kids sit there properly and try to get some nice poses. After an hour of crying, fighing and yelling with my children, I’d give up from extreme exhaustion. Now, I just take the camera out and photograph my children as they are, with their real personalities shining through.

Every year I try to do a different color theme for Christmas; this year I decided to go with white, silver and bold red:

I hope you enjoyed this little glimpse into my personal life. Again, it’s not so glamourous but I can truely say that my life is filled with lots of energy, excitement and joy – especially with these three little ones. Have a beautiful holiday season this year!
