If it’s not obvious by now, I love creating and capturing intimate, romantic and elegant styled shoots.  Before every editorial shoot, I have a vision in my head and if the photos turn out the way I had envisioned it, then I consider it a success.  For those of you who know me, I’m quite ambitious.  Once I set my mind to achieving a certain goal, I will hustle day in and day out until I get to a point where I feel I’ve accomplished that goal.

For this shoot, I was inspired by lavender flowers (which are currently in season in July) combined with lace and an all white-background.  I’ve always wanted to do an all-white bridal session and the one weekend in July that I didn’t have a wedding to photograph, I decided to put together this shoot. Unlike the two previous styled shoot I did (see it here and here) where I collaborated with several vendors and an actual venue, I decided to go solo on this one to allow myself to take the time and really photograph all the intimate details.  In other words, I did this shoot for myself.

I bought the lace gown from Save by the Dress (only $70!) and did the photoshoot in my living room (I think it took me longer to clear up the kids’ toys in the room than to actually set up the shoot).  Everything else came from my closet, including the diamond ring, the pearl necklace, the candles, books and of course the wine (I always have wine on hand ;)).
