Follow along as I document real love stories and share a glimpse of how I see the world through the lens of my camera.
Most of my weddings are an hour or two away so when Natalie contacted me and said her wedding would be held at the Gull Lake Country Club in Kalamazoo, I was quite excited because I live only 15 minutes away. This is probably the closest wedding to my house that I’ve gotten so far!
The ceremony took place at the Northeastern Batptist Church. I met up with the guys before the ceremony to do some getting ready shots and took their formal portraits before the ceremony. Since Natalie and Brent was not doing a first look, we took photos of the guys and ladies seperately.
Natalie’s dress was just beautiful with all the lace details (she bought it from Memories Bridal & Evening Wear in Kalamazoo, Michigan). The beautiful blush and ivory bouquet was made by Floral Creations by Sharon.
How lovely are these bridesmaids in their blush pink gowns??

You already know how much I love doing the after-ceremony shots of the bride and groom walking out as everyone celebrates. For Natalie and Brent’s wedding, they chose paper airplanes.
After the ceremony, we headed out to the Gull Lake Country Club and I couldn’t have asked for better weather! The view from the upper deck was just breathtakingly beautiful and the overcast sky helped me with obtaining the beautiful formal portraits.
Since we were ahead of schedule, we went and did some fun picture by the water.
It was quite humid and we all felt like jumping in the water… but we didn’t!
I loved the idea of a desert bar – if you didn’t know already, I love chocolate and tried my best to stay away (I may have taken a handful of the Snickers)
