Ceremony:  Hope Christian Reformed Church – Grandville, Michigan

Formal portraits:  Spring Grove Park – Grandville, Michigan

Reception:  Baker Lofts – downtown Holland, Michigan

Believe it or not, this was my very first time going to Holland, Michigan.  I was born and raised in Michigan so you’d think that over the past 35 years, I would’ve visited it at least once (especially since it is known for its annual Tulip Time Festival each spring).  I would love to shoot a wedding there in the springtime so perhaps some day I’ll actually make it there when the tulips are blooming).  

The girls got ready at the maid of honor’s house and they had the most gorgeous sun room (there was natural light from all three sides of the room) so of course we did a lot of photos in this room.

The bride and groom wrote each other a letter and they read it at the church before their first look:

We then headed over to Spring Grove Park in Grandville to do the first look and formal wedding portraits with the wedding party and family.

This is definitely my favorite shot from the entire wedding day.  The guests threw pretty flower petals during the send-off after the ceremony at the church.

After the ceremony and before the reception, we headed to downtown Holland to do more fun portraits of the  bridal party. 

The reception took place at Baker Lofts in Holland, Michigan and the set-up was just charming:
