Growing up, I’ve always wanted to live in a big city… New York City, Chicago, Paris or Tokyo. As I’ve gotten older, I realize how much I’ve taken for granted the benefits of living in the country sides of Michigan because the grass really is greener here and we get to experience nature through all four seasons of the year. Springtime in Michigan can be so beautiful – especially when the blooms arrive. However, the flower trees only last for a few weeks and then it all turns into green leaves! This year, I made sure I captured the pink blooms during its prime time and got really lucky with the weather!

During the past year in quarantine, I learned how to use a sewing machine and made the dress in the pictures below. It’s not perfect but I was quite happy with the outcome considering it’s my very first dress! Be on the watch out for more gowns to come!
