I’ve been very fortunate this year to be able to photograph at some of the most beautiful and unique wedding venues in Michigan and Greencrest Manor Estate is no exception. Greencrest Manor Estate is located in Battle Creek, Michigan (only 30 minutes from where I live!) and is one of my favorite venues. As soon as you enter the gates and step on the grounds of the estate, it feels as if you’ve been transported to the french country side. The view of the tree-lined driveway and the mansion is very welcoming and is quite grand!
Chloe and Brent chose to have an intimate wedding here with their closest family and friends and it was on a perfect sunny Saturday.
The back of the mansion (where the ceremony is held) is as equally beautiful as the front and is quite spacious. The garden is filled with lush greenery and flowers and is oh-so-romantic!
Of course the inside of the mansion is everything you imagine it to be: elegant chandelier, grand stairwell with perfect antique rooms and decor.
Chloe and her family stayed at the estate the night before the wedding and got ready upstairs which was quite convenient. Chloe choice of details was so elegant (from her shoes, crown, and dress to her cotton deckled paper wedding invitations) – I couldn’t get enough of it!
Chloe had a long beautiful veil and it draped so nicely as she walked up the stairs with her father to get married.
Wedding tip: I’ve been seeing more and more long veils and I absolutely love it!! Find a veil with beading at the tail end of the veil so that it stays on the ground when you’re walking.
We were able to grab a few portraits inside of the mansion and these are my absolute favorite:
When I saw the wedding cake, my jaws dropped! The large scroll with the calligraphy script was so perfect.
Macarons for guests to take away! YES!!!!
