Follow along as I document real love stories and share a glimpse of how I see the world through the lens of my camera.

A word from the bride: “We hired Sandra for our wedding on June 21, 2019 and she was AMAZING! Sandra is organized, prepared, friendly, professional and of course her photos are beautiful. My husband and I are both designers so we had a definite style and were picky with who we chose, in my opinion, photos are all we have left after the day is over, and they were better than we could have hoped! Sandra was so well prepared and so caring, she took the time to get to know us and our family members in terms of who did and did not get along for the family portraits, and what exactly we wanted from our photos. The pictures turned out fantastic and we haven’t been able to stop looking at them since we got the gallery back. Sandra’s turn around time on photos is another reason we went with her, she promised them within two weeks, we received a sneak peek before we woke up the morning after the wedding, and the entire gallery on the last day of our honeymoon, only a week later. Bottom line, I 100% recommend Sandra to anyone who is looking for a professional, friendly photographer who will deliver beautiful photos every time.”

I met Geena and Daniel over a year ago and have been looking forward to their wedding! Both of them are architectures and so naturally they loved unique buildings. Their ceremony was held at a unique wedding venue in Michigan: the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. What I loved about this venue is that the ceremony site is set up uniquely with circular seating so all guests are able to have a good view of the ceremony. It also requires minimal decor given all the lush greenery inside of the greenhouse!

Geena and Daniel have been dating for 8 years but as you can see from the photos below, they’re still very much in love:

This was an Irish-American wedding and as a tradition, the groom pins the family’s fabric onto the bride’s dress:

We then headed to a nearby park and Geena surprised Daniel by taking off her wedding skirt (underneath the skirt was an elegant dress):

Party time! We then headed to the Bissell Tree House at the John Ball Zoo where the reception was held:

Riding up the funicular to the reception area was so much fun!

The Bissell Tree House was on the very top and had a fantastic view of the city. The building has a slanted side and was so unique!
